Anna and Paul

Anna and Paul are getting married in August and on Tuesday we got together for some (last minute!) pictures. Anna was a housemate of mine last year and it was so much fun to get to know her. These two are so good together and taking their picture was a breeze :o)

Feel free to leave them some love! R. x

I have a facebook page :o)

I just made myself a shiny new facebook page :o)

I thought it was about time that I had somewhere on facebook dedicated to my photography, especially as I plan on doing much more of it from now on!

So if you fancy it, head on over to facebook and check it out!

Lots of love! R. x

Robyn: Portraits

Robyn and I had so much fun planning this shoot and we had some adventures when we got there! Robyn is such a lovely person  - we had a wonderfully relaxed hour or two (apart from the unfortunate episode where some dogs destroyed all of our tasty treats!!). I hope you like your pictures, Robyn! ♥

Pea Soup!

Yesterday was my dad's birthday and I went home for the evening :o) Happy Birthday Dad! I came home with pretty flowers from the garden and a couple of props for a photoshoot I'm planning... more on that on a later date!

This afternoon I made pea and mint soup for lunch :o) The recipe was from bbc goodfood - here's how I got on...

I think it's really tasty - I love the simply combination of pea and mint, it tastes so summery and fresh. I used frozen petit pois because I didn't feel like shelling peas all afternoon ;o)
Hope you're having a good week! Love, R. x

To do lists

I think most people have a love/hate relationship with their to do lists. Moving house and finishing my degree has certainly left me with the time to think about all the things that need to be done and all the things I would like to do.

I'm not sure what it is about moving to a new place that fills my head with dreams and possibilities. I want our house to be a home, as cliched as that sounds. Now I have the time to start projects I have a few on the top of my list.

1. Make a sign for our bathroom. Our bathroom door doesn't have a lock so I have in mind a pretty little sign which you can flip to show 'engaged' or 'vacant'. I'm going to pin it to the door :o)

2. Make the spare bedroom into an office/bedroom. When we moved in, I needed a desk to revise on for a week. So we made a pathway through the junk to a desk by the window. I'm looking forward to personalising and sorting through the junk so this room will function.

3. Try new recipes. These last few months of spending as little time preparing food as possible has left me starved of inspiration. So I'm going to try new things :o) starting with pea and mint soup tomorrow - it might even feature on the blog :o)

I think this will keep me going for a couple of days :o)

I made it!

Today I sat my last two exams.. I'm letting it sink in - no more late night reading preparing for a seminar, no more banging my head on the desk because I just want exams to be over. No more feeling like I should probably be doing something studious when I picked up my camera. There will be lots that I miss about university, most importantly the few people I spent most my time with - I'll miss seeing those faces all the time.

But for now, I have the summer to look forward to! I'll have the time to learn new things and get shooting as much as I possibly can! I thought I'd start by looking afresh at a picture I took a couple of months ago. Here I am, sat in the dark, editing to my heart's content :o) I'm here, photography, you have my attention now!

Much Love, R.
